What IS synesthesia? 

I could answer the question with a great deal of neuroscientific jargon and unnecessarily complex Latin words, but I won't do that to you. 

Simply put: having synesthesia means that two or more of your senses are blended together.

There are more than 80 different vatieties of synesthesia, ranging from lexical-gustatory (tasting letters, words, and numbers) to ticker-tape (seeing subtitles in real life).

In my case, it's primarily hearing and vision, which is refered to as sound-colour synesthesia, or "chromesthesia".

When I pay attention to it, I get a sense of colours in my head that correlate to what I'm hearing in that moment, and I use these colours to create original pieces of art based on specific names, words, or pieces of music.

 

Can I order name stickers?

Absolutely! I don't keep a stock of name stickers as there are simply too many names out there, but I do have a Redbubble Shop where I upload sticker designs. I still regularly add more names, so if you don't see yours, you can always make a request for it on one of my social media pages!

 

I've seen you do my name on social media, but it was spelled differently. Will it still look the same if I order it?

Yes! Thankfully, because my synesthesia is linked to auditory processing, no matter how a name is spelled, if it sounds the same, it will still look the same to me. Good news for all the Megan/Meghan/Meaghan/Meagans out there!

 

How long should I expect a custom order to take?

I do my very best to have all custom orders shipped within 3 weeks of purchase, however I AM disabled and I'm not always able to stay within this timeline. I want to order a name, but I would like to know what it looks like before I do. Is this possible?

Unfortunately I am unable to respond to every inquiry I receive about the colours of specific names., however I do have a sizeable catalogue in my Redbubble Shop which I still regularly add to!
